Born in Spur, Texas, to a family that includes multi-generation Texans, I have lived and traveled in the west. Along the way, I have taken time to live and work in many other parts of the world. I enjoy reading, writing, friends, family, and being a Christian.
Professionally, I’m a member of the American Christian Fiction Writers and the Christian Writer’s Guild.
As a writer, I tell stories set in the West in the 1800s. The stories often have a flavor of the west but are not what many think of as a Western, a la Louis L’Amour. Although I enjoy his writings, I favor more of an approach to building characters functioning in their time and with their families and communities.
I work at making my novels historically accurate. Which is not a burden, as I love to study history and do the research. And as I come upon interesting bits of history of the time period and place I will share them with you, my readers. From recipes to housing to clothes to ranch and farm tools to children and their games, all these I will share as you walk this path with me..
